T1 status: check arrival and confirm transit discharge

Use the MRN of your transit declaration to check T1. A public result helps you identify the reported stage. Arrival at destination alone does not establish that the transit procedure has been correctly discharged.

    Your choice helps select guidance; it does not confirm the procedure. The MRN country does not identify a port or declaration type.
    Before you interpret the result: Public European Commission search data is informational and non-binding. It may be delayed or incomplete. A status does not replace a proof-of-exit document; no data is not evidence that the document is missing. Transit arrival does not mean discharge. Ask the declarant to check the status and documents in the system handling the declaration.

    Start with the transit reference

    Customs transit allows goods to move under customs supervision to the place of further formalities. Electronic transit declarations are handled through NCTS; the linked Polish service explains the national submission and response channels. Find the transit MRN on the relevant document and compare it with the reference supplied for the journey.

    One shipment can have several references. Do not choose a number solely from its country prefix. Check the document description and the offices of departure and destination. If the paperwork is unclear, ask the issuer to identify the MRN of the particular T1 you are tracking.

    Arrival and discharge answer different questions

    Ending transit concerns presentation of the goods and documents at destination. Discharge establishes that transit ended correctly, following comparison of information held at departure and destination. The European Commission’s Transit Manual distinguishes these stages.

    If the result shows arrival, ask the party handling the declaration for confirmation of discharge as well. Keep the exact wording of their response. A carrier’s informal statement that a movement is “closed” may need clarification: physical delivery, destination formalities, and discharge should be identified separately.

    A practical checklist for the operations team

    Prepare one consistent set of information before making an enquiry. This helps the recipient locate the correct movement without reconciling several versions of the paperwork.

    • Compare every character of the MRN with the source document and match it to the journey.
    • Record the office of departure, declared office of destination, and actual place where the goods were presented.
    • Establish the delivery date and who handled the formalities on arrival.
    • Ask the party handling T1 for the latest national-system message and confirmation of discharge.
    • Describe changes to the route or delivery location and include the relevant supporting record.

    No data is different from a failed lookup

    The Commission states that public MRN data is informational and non-binding. A missing result does not settle whether the T1 exists or is discharged. A source error or request limit means that this attempt did not retrieve information.

    Record the type of response and the time. After a technical failure, try again later or use the official lookup. If an operational deadline is approaching, also contact the party handling the declaration. Repeatedly refreshing a public result will not supply missing arrival records or resolve conflicting instructions.

    A T1 check does not produce export confirmation

    CC599C belongs to Poland’s AES/ECS2 PLUS export process. It is not the completion document for the T1 itself. Where a journey also has a preceding export declaration, check the export MRN and transit MRN separately.

    For an existing T1, the useful next step is establishing its procedural history. Before a new pickup, agree the required procedure, departure and destination details, and timing with the party arranging customs formalities. A public status lookup does not create a new transit declaration.
