This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and has no user accounts. We process no data for marketing purposes.
MRN lookups
An MRN you enter is relayed by our server to the European Commission's public MRN follow-up service (DDS2) to display the declaration status. Numbers are not stored permanently; to limit load, the lookup result is kept in server memory for up to 10 minutes.
IP addresses and abuse protection
To limit automated requests, your IP address is processed transiently in server memory (rate limiting), based on our legitimate interest in running the service safely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The hosting infrastructure may additionally keep short-lived technical server logs (IP address, request time) for operational security.
EORI and EU VAT (VIES)
Our server forwards the entered number to the European Commission's EORI and VIES services. We process the number and returned information, which may include the entity's name and address. The result and number may remain in server memory for up to 10 minutes. Lookup results are not published as public pages or stored in usage statistics.
Aggregate usage counters
We keep daily counts of tool attempts by domain, tool and outcome category (response, no data, invalid input, source unavailable or rate limit). These counters contain no MRNs, EORI numbers, ARCs, container numbers, e-mail addresses, IP addresses or user identifiers. They are retained for up to 90 days to assess tool operation. This uses no cookies or tracking scripts.
Links to other services
The ARC module links to the official Commission lookup; this portal does not receive ARC numbers. The destination site's privacy terms apply when you follow a link. CloseMRN links include the source domain and link placement, without entered declaration numbers.
